Hello everybody! I had the hardest time uploading this image but finally got it posted. You may notice though that I did not put the olympic rings in my logos but I could not erase what was written at the bottom. I took graphic design one a year ago at another school and I forgot most of how to use the program. If you can help me with this I appreciate it. Thanks enjoy!
I would go with #11 because of the strokes and harmony. Second, I would choose #17 because it looks the second best with the fan and only two colors. Tokyo is a place that only needs a couple of colors, because from what I know is that Tokyo = simple, not too many colors.
I like #7 and #11 #7: I like the design element but I would try using vertical type to go along that diagonal, that might turn into something good.
#11 just has this classic look too it...you could never go wrong with it. If you choose this one you could been playing it safe or if you apply well it could be great. #11 is one of those "on the fence" logos.
Everything is well rendered though, good job on that.
I like 11 the most. It is clean and simple, and the sun is probably the most recognizable symbol that represents Japan. I also like how the "T" slightly resembles a Japanese gate, even if you didn't intend for it.
I think number 8 is simple and easy to understand. Using just one color for all the characters is I think a good way of unifies the whole composition. I don’t think there is anything you should add to this logo except the rings.
I like 11 and 15 but you still need to incorprate the rings. It seems simple but thats what I like about it. I don't have to read into it too much i know exactly what it is.
i think the hand fan like # 1 and 6 are ur best bet since its an item widely used in Japan... leave the type in the bottom too... i dont think it works well on the sides... i would also use the ring colors in the fan since u dont have the rings...lots of ideas though..
the was conceptually a better idea. the problem is type selection. expand your type selection to something less "display" and more legible and you might solve the issue. the alternating stroke is less effective in the fan illustration. try an alternative angle or perspective to create more of a dynamic layout. all your logos are very static.

I think number one is your best bet. It needs a little more work, maybe try and stylize the image so it's not so obvious what it is.

ReplyDeleteI like number 16. I like how the flag is incorporated a little in it and the design behind it is neat.
